Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst / Data Analyst with 12+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will bridge business and technology teams by translating business needs into actionable requirements, analyzing complex datasets, and delivering insights that drive strategic initiatives.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Data Analyst.
• Strong expertise in SQL for complex data analysis and validation.
• Hands-on experience with Excel (Advanced), Power BI, or Tableau.
• Experience gathering and documenting Business Requirements (BRD), Functional Requirements (FRD), User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum and SDLC methodologies.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.
• Ability to perform data analysis, data profiling, data mapping, and gap analysis.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehouses, and relational databases.
• Experience with APIs, system integrations, and data validation.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation.
• Experience with Alteryx or Informatica.
• Exposure to AI/ML, predictive analytics, or Generative AI projects.
• Experience in Healthcare, Banking, Insurance, Retail, or Financial Services domains.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
• Conduct workshops with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Translate business requirements into user stories and functional specifications.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and business insights.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality analysis.
• Create dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau.
• Support ETL validation, data migration, and system integration testing.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams throughout the SDLC.
• Facilitate UAT, defect triage, and production support activities.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, process flows, use cases, and data mapping documents.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend data-driven solutions.
• Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Mentor junior analysts and provide functional guidance to project teams.

Nice to Have

• CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile certifications.
• Experience with FHIR/HL7, EDI, or ERP systems (SAP/Oracle).
• Knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, and Master Data Management (MDM).
• Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Snowflake, dbt, or Apache Spark.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics and LLM-based business solutions.
