UI Engineering Lead

I'm partnering with a leading cloud security organization that's looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing UI Engineering team building complex, customer-facing web applications at scale.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager-or a strong Technical Lead ready to step into management-to remain technically involved while driving architecture, team growth, and product delivery.

Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and grow a team of frontend and full-stack engineers
Drive technical architecture, design decisions, and engineering best practices
Remain hands-on with code reviews, troubleshooting, and technical guidance
Partner closely with Product, Design, and Backend Engineering teams to deliver new features
Own delivery of large-scale UI initiatives from planning through execution
Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams across multiple time zones
Improve engineering processes, team efficiency, and development workflows
Influence product strategy and long-term technical direction
Foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
Communicate effectively with stakeholders across engineering and business functions

Requirements:

10+ years of software engineering experience focused on web applications and user interfaces
5+ years of engineering leadership, management, or technical leadership experience
Hands-on experience building modern web applications using React, Angular, or similar frameworks
Experience managing and supporting globally distributed engineering teams
Strong background in frontend architecture and scalable application design
Experience with PHP or Go/Golang in production environments
Knowledge of secure web development practices and application security principles
Proven track record delivering complex products through cross-functional collaboration
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

Nice to Have:

Experience with cloud security products or cloud-native technologies
Experience with API platforms, gateways, or developer-facing products
Exposure to NestJS or similar backend frameworks
Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
