Institutional Digital FinanceThe Mission
Our client is building the secure, scalable infrastructure powering the future of institutional digital finance. With an unmatched trust and technical rigor to digital asset custody, secure key management, and next-generation transaction security.
We are seeking a
Security Engineer to bridge the gap between cryptographic theory and resilient, real-world engineering. You will work alongside cryptographers to build high-security custody solutions for tokenized assets.
Core Responsibilities
- Secure Engineering: Design and implement cryptographic code resistant to advanced attack vectors, including side-channel attacks.
- Threat Modeling: Conduct deep-dive threat modeling to mitigate risks such as MITM attacks during MPC rounds or malicious client application interference.
- Protocol Development: Implement and audit cryptographic protocols (key exchanges, signature schemes) and integrate with hardware security features.
- Blockchain Integration: Orchestrate communication between signing parties and blockchain nodes, parsing and creating transactions across multiple networks (BTC, ETH, etc.).
- Security Auditing: Perform rigorous code reviews focused on cryptographic security, identifying pitfalls like improper entropy or info-leaking error handling.
Technical Requirements
Programming & Cryptography- Languages: Proficiency in C/C++, Go, or Rust with a focus on secure coding practices.
- Cryptographic Toolkits: Expertise in auditing or utilizing libraries such as OpenSSL or MPC-specific frameworks.
- Security Theory: Deep understanding of cryptographic protocols, key management, and common implementation pitfalls.
Infrastructure & Hardware- Trusted Environments: Hands-on experience with Intel SGX (including remote attestation) and HSMs.
- Advanced Architectures: Familiarity with Multi-Party Computation (MPC) and Zero-Trust frameworks.
- Secure Storage: Knowledge of encrypted data persistence, secure audit logging, and database security.
Blockchain & Systems- Protocol Knowledge: Understanding of transaction formats, specifically Bitcoin UTXOs and Ethereum RLP.
- Systems Engineering: Skilled in networking (Sockets, RPC frameworks), concurrency control, and containerization.
- Cloud Security: Ability to navigate cloud environments while preventing misconfigurations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Certifications: Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or GIAC focused on cryptography or cloud security.
- Academic or Open Source Contributions: Published research in cryptography/distributed systems or active contributions to security-centric open-source projects.
- DeFi & Smart Contract Security: Experience with smart contract auditing (Solidity/Vyper) and familiarity with Layer 2 scaling solutions.
- Institutional Compliance: Knowledge of financial industry security standards such as FIPS 140-2/3, SOC2, and ISO/IEC 27001.
- Zero-Knowledge Proofs: Practical experience or theoretical knowledge of ZKPs (SNARKs/STARKs) as applied to privacy-preserving transactions.
Talent Profile
- Experience: Proven track record in secure software development and cryptography engineering.
- Mindset: Research-backed approach that thrives on solving complex, distributed systems challenges.
- Collaboration: Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to deploy resilient, institutional-grade Solutions
