IT Administrator

SUMMARY:
Responsible for maintaining the company's information technology network and infrastructures and supporting the organization's end-users with their technical needs
RESPONSIBILITES:
- One of the internal contacts for network related issues, including remote sites.
- Act as a helpdesk technician providing technical support and assistance for all inquiries (Level 1 -3)
- Troubleshoots hardware/software issues.
- Coordinates with outside support vendors.
- PC/Laptop/peripheral setup, configuration, and support
- Provide deskside, phone, or remote support to users, utilize ticketing systems to track and manage technical inquiries.
- Support employee on-boarding and off-boarding process.
- Administer and maintain IT infrastructure technologies, including severs (i.e., Windows, AD, O365), network technologies (i.e., Switches, VPNs, Firewalls), and virtualized servers (VMware/Hyper-V)
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-5+ years' experience in IT Support or System/Network Administration
- Strong working knowledge of IT network infrastructure, including familiarity and ability to troubleshoot network switches
- Familiarity with mobile device management tools, VPNs, and Firewalls
- Skilled with IT hardware and software troubleshooting
- Familiarity with ITSM tools or IT Ticketing Systems
- Understanding of server administration, maintenance, and upgrades, including Windows servers and operating systems
- Familiarity with Active Directory and Office 365 Suite of applications
- Familiarity to virtualize infrastructure and virtualization vendors (i.e., VMware or Hyper-V)
- Business acumen, along with commercial awareness and excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks well.
- The ability to work with a diverse spectrum of colleagues and vendors.
- Passionate about tech and interest in growing and developing a career in IT
PREFERED QUALIFCATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Relative industry certifications (i.e., CompTIA A+, Network +, or MCSA/CCSE certifications)
- Prior or current experience working in the Aerospace, Aviation, or Defense & Space manufacturing industries
