Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java technologies, microservices architecture, cloud-native development, and modern software engineering practices. Experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, ChatGPT, or similar platforms to enhance productivity, code quality, and development efficiency is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance Java applications.
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs and Microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
- Develop clean, efficient, and reusable code following coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making.
- Perform code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, QA, DevOps, and Architects.
- Integrate applications with databases, messaging systems, and third-party services.
- Implement unit testing, integration testing, and ensure high code coverage.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and ChatGPT to improve coding productivity, automate repetitive tasks, generate test cases, and accelerate development workflows.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and cloud adoption initiatives.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the team.
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in Java application development.
- Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Hibernate/JPA.
- Experience in developing Microservices and RESTful Web Services.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Experience with build and dependency management tools like Maven or Gradle.
- Proficiency in Git-based version control systems.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, ChatGPT, or equivalent AI tools for software development productivity.
