Summary

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of large-scale storage, automation, cloud infrastructure, and engineering excellence. You'll partner directly with developers, business stakeholders, and technical leaders to design, manage, and optimize storage solutions that support demanding, data-intensive workloads. Inspired by engineering-driven organizations, this role emphasizes reliability, automation, observability, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Engineer, maintain, and scale enterprise storage platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Manage block, file, and object storage solutions while ensuring performance, availability, and efficiency.
  • Develop automation for storage provisioning, lifecycle management, and operational workflows using Infrastructure as Code principles.
  • Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions focused on storage health, capacity, and performance.
  • Partner with application teams to guide storage architecture decisions and establish best practices.
  • Drive disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives through automated testing and validation processes.
  • Establish governance standards, acceptable usage patterns, and operational controls across storage environments.
  • Troubleshoot complex storage, networking, and operating system issues in Linux and Windows environments.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and support critical infrastructure maintenance activities.
  • Champion engineering best practices, automation, and operational excellence across the organization.

Technology Environment

You will work with a modern infrastructure stack that includes:
  • AWS EBS, FSx for NetApp, and Amazon S3
  • Pure Storage and VAST Data platforms
  • NFS, SMB/CIFS, and iSCSI protocols
  • RDMA over Ethernet
  • VMware, AWS EC2, Kubernetes
  • Linux (physical and virtual)
  • Windows Server
  • Python
  • Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tooling
  • Monitoring and observability platforms

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience supporting large-scale storage environments.
  • Strong expertise with enterprise file, block, and object storage technologies.
  • Deep understanding of storage protocols, performance tuning, and operating system interactions.
  • Experience supporting low-latency or high-performance computing environments.
  • Strong Python scripting and automation skills.
  • Experience with disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity planning.
  • Experience working with Linux-based infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and modern infrastructure operations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with NetApp, Pure Storage, or VAST Data.
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack, or similar automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
  • Experience building observability and monitoring solutions for enterprise infrastructure.

Who You Are

  • A self-starter who takes ownership and thrives in a fast-paced, engineering-focused environment.
  • Passionate about automation, reliability, and operational excellence.
  • Equally comfortable collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A team player who mentors others and raises the standard of engineering across the organization.
  • Motivated by solving complex infrastructure challenges at scale.

Why Join Us?

You'll become part of a highly collaborative engineering culture where innovation, automation, and continuous improvement are valued. You'll have the opportunity to work on mission-critical infrastructure, influence long-term technology strategy, and help shape the future of a rapidly growing storage platform supporting some of the most demanding workloads in the industry.
