RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to join a dynamic technology team on a 6-month contract basis.
Summary:
This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based solutions within Microsoft Azure environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, automation, security, and DevOps practices, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams. This is a fully remote opportunity; however, candidates must reside and work within the Eastern Time Zone to support team collaboration and business operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related roles
* 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Azure environments
* Strong understanding of Azure networking, security, storage, identity, and compute services
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM, or Bicep
* Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms
* Proficiency with PowerShell, Python, or other automation scripting languages
* Experience implementing cloud security best practices and governance controls
* Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
* Ability to work independently in a remote environment
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
