POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate technology initiatives focused on Warehouse Management Control Systems (WMCS). This role will serve as the bridge between IT and warehouse operations, driving process improvements, system implementations, and technology enhancements across our distribution network. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management & Delivery
• Plan, execute, and close IT projects related to Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), conveyor systems, sortation, and automation technologies.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and status reports throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Drive project delivery using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies as appropriate to the project scope.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
• Coordinate system upgrades, integrations, and go-live activities with minimal disruption to warehouse operations.
Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration
• Serve as the primary point of contact between IT, warehouse operations, vendors, and executive leadership.
• Facilitate regular status meetings, steering committee reviews, and cross-functional working sessions.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Partner with operations teams to identify process pain points and translate business needs into actionable IT solutions.
Documentation & Governance
• Author and maintain comprehensive project documentation including charters, requirements specifications, SOPs, test plans, user guides, and lessons-learned reports.
• Ensure all WMCS changes are properly documented in accordance with change management and ITIL processes.
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date project repository; enforce document version control standards.
• Prepare executive-ready presentations and decision-support materials.
System Improvement & Optimization
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse throughput, accuracy, and efficiency through technology.
• Lead requirements gathering, gap analysis, and fit/gap assessments for system enhancements or new platform evaluations.
• Oversee vendor selection, contract management, and third-party implementation partners.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor''s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of IT project management experience, with at least 2 years in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution center environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing WMS and/or WCS implementations (e.g., Manhattan Associates, Blue Yonder, SAP EWM, Korber, Honeywell, Dematic).
• Proven ability to manage full project lifecycles from initiation through post-implementation support.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage audiences at all organizational levels.
• Strong documentation skills; ability to produce clear, concise technical and functional documents.
• Superior organizational and time-management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-paced, and frequently changing environments.
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification.
• Proficiency in Atlassian tools — Confluence for documentation/knowledge management and Jira for issue tracking, sprint planning, and project workflow management.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with EDI, ERP integrations, conveyor/sortation control systems, or automation technologies (ASRS, robotics).
• Knowledge of ITIL framework and change management best practices.
• Experience in multi-site or enterprise-scale distribution operations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Primarily office/remote environment with regular presence required in active warehouse/distribution center settings.
• Ability to walk warehouse floors, observe operations, and attend on-site project meetings as required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in high-noise industrial environments.
• Occasional extended hours during system go-lives, cut-overs, or critical project milestones
