Summary

The Healthcare Investigations Analyst supports Gainwell operations by reviewing, validating, and documenting healthcare and insurance-related information to ensure accuracy, compliance, and data integrity. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to review and interpret multiple documents efficiently while collaborating with internal teams and external partners, including attorneys and healthcare stakeholders.
This is a fully onsite role supporting Alabama-based accounts in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Your role in our mission
  • Conduct investigative reviews and validations of healthcare and insurance-related cases
  • Review, analyze, and interpret multiple documents quickly and accurately
  • Validate information related to injuries, insurance coverage, and medical authorizations
  • Update and maintain case data in internal systems, including Maestro
  • Perform insurance verification and ensure proper documentation is on file
  • Work closely with attorneys and internal teams to support investigations
  • Ensure all case documentation meets quality, compliance, and audit standards
  • Maintain accurate system documentation with minimal data entry but high verification requirements
  • Support Alabama accounts and adhere to program-specific guidelines
  • Meet productivity, quality, and performance metrics


What we're looking for
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in healthcare insurance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with strong documentation accuracy
  • Ability to read, interpret, and process multiple documents efficiently
  • Comfortable working in a data-driven, metrics-based environment
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and investigative requirements

  • Full time onsite position in Montgomery, AL.

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation.

The pay range for this position is $28,500.00 - $40,700.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
