Position Summary

Evoke is seeking a highly motivated Technical Account Executive to grow strategic customer relationships and develop new business across application development, cloud, data, analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence services.

This role is designed for a sales professional with strong technical credibility who can build relationships with senior customer stakeholders, understand business and technology priorities, identify consulting and delivery opportunities, and collaborate with Evoke’s solution and delivery teams to create compelling proposals.

The Technical Account Executive will own account growth and opportunity development while remaining closely engaged with customers throughout the sales and delivery lifecycle. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable discussing business outcomes with a CIO, technology modernization with an enterprise architect, delivery models with a procurement leader, and implementation feasibility with Evoke’s architects and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Account Development and Growth

  • Develop and execute account plans for assigned strategic customers and target prospects.
  • Build trusted relationships with customer executives, business leaders, technology leaders, procurement teams, and delivery stakeholders.
  • Understand customers’ business priorities, technology environments, transformation roadmaps, challenges, and investment plans.
  • Identify new opportunities across:
    • Custom application development
    • Application modernization
    • Microsoft Azure and cloud services
    • Data engineering and analytics
    • Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
    • Power Platform and intelligent automation
    • Generative AI and agentic AI
    • Quality engineering
    • Managed services
    • Product engineering and digital experience
  • Expand Evoke’s presence within existing accounts through cross-selling, upselling, and relationship development.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities and develop clear strategies for progressing each opportunity.
  • Coordinate account reviews, executive briefings, innovation sessions, and roadmap discussions.

Customer Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a senior relationship owner and trusted advisor for assigned accounts.
  • Establish relationships across multiple levels and functions within each customer organization.
  • Maintain regular communication with customer sponsors and key decision-makers.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction, delivery health, business changes, and emerging needs.
  • Partner with Evoke delivery leaders to address risks, escalations, staffing issues, and customer concerns.
  • Ensure commitments made during the sales process are understood and supported by delivery teams.
  • Participate in governance meetings, quarterly business reviews, and executive steering discussions.
  • Develop customer references, success stories, and long-term partnership opportunities.

Technical Discovery and Consultative Selling

  • Lead or support discovery conversations to understand customer business problems, current platforms, technical constraints, and desired outcomes.
  • Translate customer needs into potential consulting, engineering, cloud, data, automation, and AI solutions.
  • Ask informed technical questions and identify when specialist architects or practice leaders should be engaged.
  • Understand enterprise technology concepts including cloud architecture, APIs, data platforms, application modernization, security, integration, DevOps, and AI.
  • Communicate Evoke’s technical capabilities and delivery differentiators in a business-outcome-oriented manner.
  • Help customers evaluate solution options, implementation approaches, delivery models, and investment priorities.
  • Position Evoke as a practical transformation and engineering partner rather than a transactional staffing provider.

Presales and Opportunity Management

  • Coordinate presales activities from initial qualification through proposal, negotiation, and closure.
  • Partner with solution architects, practice leaders, delivery managers, finance, legal, and offshore teams.
  • Develop opportunity strategies, win themes, value propositions, competitive positioning, and stakeholder maps.
  • Support the creation of proposals, statements of work, presentations, demonstrations, estimates, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are technically credible, commercially viable, and operationally deliverable.
  • Lead customer presentations and commercial discussions.
  • Manage follow-ups, decision criteria, risks, objections, procurement steps, and contractual dependencies.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity, pipeline, forecast, and account information in the CRM system.

Market and Partnership Development

  • Stay informed about technology trends and customer priorities related to Microsoft Azure, data, AI, automation, and digital engineering.
  • Represent Evoke at customer events, industry meetings, technology forums, and networking opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Microsoft and other technology partners to identify joint opportunities.
  • Support the development of industry-specific offerings, thought leadership, case studies, and campaigns.
  • Provide market feedback to Evoke’s leadership, marketing, practices, and delivery organizations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • 8 or more years of experience in technology consulting sales, account management, business development, solution sales, or client-partner roles.
  • Demonstrated success selling application development, cloud, data, analytics, automation, AI, or managed IT services.
  • Strong technical understanding of enterprise applications, cloud platforms, data platforms, integration, and modern software delivery.
  • Experience managing relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, vice presidents, directors, enterprise architects, and procurement leaders.
  • Proven ability to develop accounts, qualify opportunities, build pipelines, and close consulting or technology-services engagements.
  • Experience working with solution architects and delivery teams to create estimates, proposals, and statements of work.
  • Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and understanding of professional-services delivery models.
  • Excellent executive communication, presentation, relationship-building, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with globally distributed onsite and offshore teams.
  • Willingness to travel to customer and Evoke locations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

·        Experience selling Microsoft-focused services, including Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, or Microsoft 365.

·        Familiarity with generative AI, agentic AI, data modernization, application modernization, and cloud transformation.

·        Existing professional network in the Dallas, Philadelphia, or Boston market.

·        Experience in one or more industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, insurance, retail, education, or professional services.

·        Experience working for an IT consulting, engineering-services, or digital-transformation company.

·        Understanding of onsite, offshore, nearshore, managed-service, capacity-based, and outcome-based commercial models.

·        Experience working with Microsoft or other strategic technology partners.

·        Familiarity with CRM platforms and disciplined sales-forecasting processes.
