Overview
We are seeking a UI Developer to design, develop, and maintain complex, scalable, and intuitive user interfaces for enterprise web and/or mobile applications. This role will focus on reusable UI components, responsive design, accessibility, performance, and collaboration with UX, business, and technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Duties
- Design and develop high-quality, reusable, scalable, and performant UI components and applications.
- Translate business and technical requirements into user interface designs and functionality.
- Collaborate with UX designers, business analysts, product managers, architects, testers, and developers to deliver consistent user experiences.
- Apply UI/UX best practices, responsive and mobile-first design principles, and SOLID principles.
- Ensure adherence to accessibility requirements, including Section 508 and WCAG standards.
- Optimize UI performance and scalability through efficient coding, resource management, and appropriate development tools and techniques.
- Conduct code reviews to promote code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
- Participate in requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and application support.
- Stay current with emerging UI development tools, technologies, patterns, and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and technical standards.
- Perform other related development duties as assigned.
Mandatory Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience working on complex projects, including 2+ years of experience in a leadership role as a Developer.
- 7+ years of experience in UI development and UI design patterns, including MVC.
- 7+ years of experience building and maintaining complex, scalable web applications using HTML, XML, JSON, AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and Cascading Style Sheets.
- 6+ months of experience working within an Integrated Eligibility System program across multiple workstreams, including Fair Hearings, in a Health and Human Services environment.
- Experience designing and developing reusable and performant UI components.
- Experience translating business and technical requirements into UI functionality.
- Experience implementing responsive and mobile-first web design.
- Experience applying accessibility standards, including Section 508 and WCAG.
- Experience optimizing UI performance and scalability.
- Experience conducting code reviews and applying established coding standards.
- Experience collaborating with UX designers, business analysts, product managers, architects, testers, and developers.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Associate’s degree or combination of experience and education.
Desirable Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience using .NET and C# to develop and maintain n-tier web applications.
- 7+ years of experience with Service-Oriented Architecture integration, including secure web services, SOAP, and RESTful APIs.
- 7+ years of experience using Entity Framework.
- 7+ years of experience using unit testing frameworks such as xUnit or NUnit.
- 5+ years of experience using distributed version control systems such as Git.
- 2+ years of experience designing and implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment workflows.
