| | The Performance Copywriter is a strategic, datadriven storyteller responsible for developing highimpact copy that fuels Sherwin-Williams global marketing engine. This role sits within the Global Marketing Architecture Team, partnering closely with creative, brand, digital, and analytics teams to produce messaging that drives measurable results across markets, channels, and customer segments. You will shape copy that aligns with enterprise marketing frameworks and brand architecture helping ensure consistency, clarity, and performance across all global campaigns and digital experiences. Key Responsibilities 1. Performance-Driven Content Development - Write conversionfocused copy for global digital channels including websites, landing pages, email, paid media, social, and product experiences.
- Craft messaging that balances brand voice with measurable outcomes (CTR, CVR, AOV, engagement, lead quality, etc.).
- Conduct A/B and multivariate testing to refine headlines, CTAs, and messaging frameworks.
2. Global Brand & Messaging Consistency - Translate the Sherwin-Williams brand voice into clear, compelling messaging across international markets.
- Collaborate with localization teams to ensure copy resonates culturally while staying true to brand architecture.
- Maintain messaging playbooks, tone guidelines, and content systems.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with creative directors, designers, UX strategists, and marketing managers to concept and execute integrated campaigns.
- Work with analytics teams to interpret performance dashboards and evolve content based on insights.
- Support product marketing with positioning, value props, and narrative development.
4. Innovation & Continuous Optimization - Stay current on performance marketing trends, creative best practices, and platform-specific behaviors (Google, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, display networks).
- Champion experimentation across global regions to identify scalable content patterns.
- Contribute to the advancement of Sherwin-Williams global content architecture.
Required Skills & Experience - 3 6+ years copywriting experience at an enterprise brand, agency, or performance marketing organization.
- A portfolio demonstrating high-performing digital campaigns and measurable outcomes.
- Ability to interpret data and performance metrics to improve messaging.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and conceptual storytelling ability.
- Experience working on matrixed or global teams.
- Understanding of SEO, UX writing principles, and digital marketing funnels.
- Comfort with creative collaboration tools and content management systems.
