Summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is searching for a Strategic Communications & Engagement Lead for a Right-to-Hire Contractor for an assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in Dallas, TX. This is a hybrid role requiring 4 days per week onsite.

Position Overview
We are seeking a high-impact Communications, PR, and Employee Engagement professional responsible for shaping the IT organization's internal and external narrative, elevating executive visibility, influencing culture, and strengthening team engagement.

This role blends strategic communications, public relations, executive messaging, corporate events, and employee-focused programming to enhance reputation and foster a connected, high-performing workforce.

The ideal candidate is polished, strategic, execution-oriented, and comfortable partnering with senior leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute integrated communications strategies that amplify the company's brand, mission, and leadership voice.
  • Lead public relations initiatives including media relations, thought leadership development, executive positioning, and reputation management.
  • Design and manage high-impact internal communications campaigns to drive alignment, transparency, and engagement across teams.
  • Partner with senior executives to craft compelling messaging, presentations, speeches, and public-facing content.
  • Plan and execute corporate events including large-scale town halls, leadership forums, volunteer initiatives, public-facing events, and culture-building experiences.
  • Build and implement programs that strengthen employee engagement, feedback mechanisms, recognition initiatives, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Leverage social media platforms and AI-enabled tools to expand reach, enhance messaging impact, and modernize communication delivery.
  • Monitor communication effectiveness through metrics and stakeholder feedback; provide data-driven insights to continuously improve strategy.
  • Ensure consistency of messaging across internal and external channels.
Required Skills
  • 7+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, employee engagement, or executive communications.
  • Strong background in media relations and executive visibility strategy.
  • Experience planning and executing high-profile corporate events.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling ability with executive polish.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and presentation development skills.
  • Experience working directly with senior leadership (VP/SVP/C-suite level).
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Experience leveraging social media and digital communication platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Financial services or highly regulated industry experience.
  • Experience managing external PR agencies.
  • Familiarity with change management or transformation communications.
  • Experience working with IT Organizations
  • Experience incorporating AI tools into communications strategy and execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
