Job Details

We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Permanent Trusts & Estates Associate to join our thriving legal team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled professional who is passionate about trusts and estates law and is eager to provide top-tier legal services to our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a variety of complex tasks including drafting wills, overseeing probate processes, advising on fiduciary matters, and handling powers of attorney. You will have the chance to work alongside a team of dedicated professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Trusts & Estates Associate, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Drafting and reviewing estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
2. Advising clients on the probate process and handling all related matters.
3. Providing legal advice on fiduciary duties and obligations in the administration of trusts and estates.
4. Representing clients in court proceedings related to trusts and estates.
5. Collaborating with tax professionals to ensure efficient tax planning for clients.
6. Keeping up-to-date with the latest laws and regulations related to trusts and estates.
7. Nurturing client relationships and providing exceptional client service.
8. Participating in business development activities to expand the firm's trusts and estates practice.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Trusts & Estates Associate role should have the following qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience in trusts and estates law, with a focus on wills, probate, fiduciary matters, and powers of attorney.
4. Strong knowledge of tax laws related to trusts and estates.
5. Exceptional analytical, research, and drafting skills.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
7. Proven track record of providing exceptional client service.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
