Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Scrum Master / Technical Project Manager for a contract-to-hire position with a Regional Financial Institution located in Columbus, OH. This is a hybrid position requiring 4 days on-site per week.
Compensation: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications Position Overview: This role is responsible for a team's collaboration, transparency, and delivering product releases while meeting quality standards and milestones. The ideal candidate will facilitate Agile events, provide sprint-level reporting, and drive continuous improvement within a newly formed team, mentoring them in Agile practices and mindset.
Key Responsibilities: - Facilitate seamless collaboration and maximize team performance by driving continuous improvement within assigned technical and non-technical teams
- Ensure rapid and timely delivery of business value streams and achievement of goals
- Mentor and coach teams (including the Product Owner) in Agile practices and mindset
- Foster a growth mindset and spirit of continuous improvement and learning
- Remove impediments to team progress whether internal to the team or organizational in nature and escalate when necessary
- Support and educate product owners, especially with respect to refining and managing the product backlog and decision making
- Ensure effective communication within and across teams
- Influence and facilitate the empowerment of a self-organizing team
- Schedule and facilitate cross-functional meetings
- Ensure appropriate progress tools, information radiators, and reports effectively provide transparency on team's progress and productivity
- Perform risk, issue, and dependency management for their team
- Ensure release management practices align to enterprise standards
- Manage the team Scrum Board along with the creation and management of Team Dashboards to provide information of Team Health, Sprint and Delivery progress, and Team Planning
Primary Requirements: - Minimum 5+ years of Agile experience
- CSM or PSM I certification required
- Scrum Master experience with standing up new teams, many of which have limited agile knowledge
- Experience with Agile/Scrum tools, such as JIRA, preferably Azure DevOps
Desired Skills: - ACSM or PSM II certification preferred
- Knowledge of Agile project management fundamentals
- Experience writing user story persona statements and acceptance criteria using Gherkin
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration or related discipline
- Two or more years of business requirements analysis
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- High degree of professional confidence and credibility with the presence and communication skills to represent IT-related concepts effectively
