Location: Phoenix, Arizona (6201 N 29th Avenue / 6201 N 24th Parkway)

Work Type: Hybrid (In-office Monday, Wednesday, Friday; Remote Tuesday, Thursday)

Compensation: Base salary $125,000-$150,000 plus 10% annual bonus

Job Summary:
The Director of Business Intelligence and Performance Strategy is part of the Strategic Planning organization and serves as a strategic partner to executive leadership. This role is responsible for transforming hotel-level and enterprise-wide performance data into actionable insights that drive company strategy, brand performance, portfolio decisions, and investment prioritization. The role combines hands-on analytics, executive storytelling, and cross-functional leadership with a strong focus on performance measurement, forecasting, and execution of strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy-Led Business Intelligence
  • Deliver strategic insights to executive leadership based on hotel and system performance trends
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable narratives that guide brand positioning and growth strategy
  • Develop and manage executive dashboards, scorecards, and reporting frameworks
  • Utilize analytics tools, AI technologies, and industry benchmarks to identify trends and inform planning
  • Proactively communicate insights to align leadership teams

Strategic Initiatives Management
  • Lead and support enterprise-level strategic initiatives such as development retention strategies and reporting enhancements
  • Create and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and track progress against goals

Enterprise Performance and Business Analysis
  • Analyze large datasets and convert findings into strategic recommendations
  • Evaluate key performance drivers including RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, revenue mix, and brand performance
  • Perform scenario modeling, financial analysis, and test versus control evaluations
  • Support investment decisions including development incentives and underwriting analysis
  • Prepare materials for executive leadership, board-level presentations, and member communications
  • Ensure consistent definitions, benchmarks, and methodologies across performance metrics

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with senior leaders and business teams to execute strategic priorities
  • Collaborate across analytics, finance, development, and brand teams
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings; occasional travel required


Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical and Analytical Skills
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to work directly with complex datasets
  • Experience with statistical analysis and data modeling
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or AWS QuickSight
  • Ability to synthesize data into clear insights and recommendations
  • Understanding of hospitality performance metrics (RevPAR, ADR, occupancy) is preferred but not required

Leadership and Strategic Skills
  • Strong executive communication and storytelling abilities
  • Strategic thinking and financial acumen
  • Experience influencing enterprise-level decision making
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and collaborate effectively
  • Results-driven mindset with focus on continuous improvement


Additional Information:
  • This role is part of the Strategic Planning function and helps answer critical enterprise business questions
  • Candidates with Senior Manager or Senior Analyst experience are encouraged to apply
