Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a SAP Extended Warranty SME. This is a partially remote position based in Chicago, IL or Milwaukee, WI. You must be reside in one of those two locations in order to go onsite 50% of the time.

Responsibilities:
* Analyze and document current state ECC warranty processes, including contracts, coverage logic, pricing, and claims flows across SD/CS (and related modules)
* Validate ECC system behavior through configuration review, test scenarios, and defect analysis to ensure accurate understanding of existing functional design
* Assess standard S/4HANA warranty capabilities and gaps versus business requirements, providing clear recommendations on fit to standard vs. required enhancements
* Lead and/or support future state functional design for extended warranty processes in S/4HANA, including configuration, integration touchpoints, and impact to upstream/downstream processes
* Collaborate with technical teams and business SMEs to define, test, and sign off functional specifications, enhancements, and configuration changes related to warranty management

REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of hands on SAP functional experience with ECC and S/4HANA, with a strong focus on warranty, service contracts, or after sales service processes
* Deep understanding of SAP contracts and coverage logic (e.g., warranty conditions, eligibility rules, service levels) and how they are configured and executed in ECC and/or S/4HANA
* Proven experience participating in or leading ECC to S/4HANA migrations or greenfield implementations, including fit gap analysis and future state design
* Ability to write and review functional specifications for enhancements, user exits/BADIs, BRF+ rules, and integrations that support warranty scenarios
* Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex functional designs into clear requirements for both business stakeholders and technical teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
