Role: Openshift Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC Local Only (Onsite)
Responsibilities:
· OpenShift Expertise: Utilize deep knowledge of OpenShift to manage containerized applications, including scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
· Automation: Implement automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment processes and ensure consistency across environments.
· Monitoring and Observability: Set up and maintain monitoring and observability tools to track system performance, identify issues, and optimize resource usage.
· Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and support, to ensure seamless integration and operation of Redis and other databases on OpenShift.
· Self-Starter: Take initiative in identifying and resolving issues, improving processes, and driving projects to completion.
· Time Management: Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
Requirements:
· OpenShift Experience: 4+ years’ experience with OpenShift, including deployment, management, and troubleshooting of containerized applications. Certification in Kubernetes or OpenShift administration is a plus.
· Automation Skills: Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Python, Bash) to automate deployment and management tasks.
· Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to ensure system health and performance.
· Database Knowledge: Experience with other databases on OpenShift is a plus (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
· Team Player: Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
· Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive projects to completion.
