Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Implementation Consultant with a strong technology foundation and proven program delivery experience in the payments / BFSI / fintech domain.
This role is ideal for professionals who have transitioned from Developer, Infrastructure Admin, or QA Lead into Project / Program Management, and can bridge the gap between business, technology, and operations.
The candidate must bring hands-on technical understanding, especially in payments ecosystems, and have experience delivering complex transformation programs such as data center migrations and technology upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end implementation and delivery of payment solutions and digital banking platforms
- Drive merchant onboarding, payment gateway integrations, and platform configurations
- Manage client engagements and act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, infrastructure, QA, and vendors
- Oversee program planning, sprint execution, backlog management, and agile ceremonies
- Ensure smooth execution of configuration-driven implementations
- Identify and resolve technical, infrastructure, and integration issues by engaging the right teams
- Lead offshore/onshore coordination for global delivery models
- Drive delivery for large-scale initiatives such as:
- Data center migrations
- Platform modernization / upgrades
- Payment system integrations
Required Skills & Experience
- 10 12 years of experience in program / project delivery, preferably in BFSI or fintech
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in the payments industry, including:
- Payment gateway integrations
- Merchant onboarding
- Digital banking platforms
- Strong understanding of:
- Acquiring and issuing ecosystems
- Payment processing lifecycle
- Prior experience working with global payment platforms such as:
- FIS
- Fiserv
- (or similar aggregators)
- Solid background in technology roles (Developer / Infra / QA) before moving into delivery
- Experience in complex infrastructure programs:
- Data center migrations
- Technology transformation initiatives
- Strong knowledge of:
- Agile methodologies
- Sprint planning & backlog grooming
- Excellent stakeholder management and client communication skills
- Ability to understand technical architecture and troubleshoot issues across stack layers
