Raytheon's Mission Applied Science & Technology (MAST) directorate is looking for a dynamic intern to join their team in the Dulles, Virginia office. The MAST directorate is an energetic multi-disciplinary team of over 60 engineers working collaboratively with internal and external customers to develop novel solutions for data science and emerging technology applications. Our team pushes the boundaries of innovation and creativity to establish next-generation mission solutions from system-level up to campaign level.

What You Will Do

• Support, contribute, and collaborate in a team environment, receive input and guidance from functional management, project leads, and more experienced teammates. Your primary focus will be contributing to the development of a web-based application in Python for simulation, modeling, and analysis of factory production models
• Apply your academic knowledge and participate as a member of a multi-discipline team to learn real world applications to complement your academic experience.
• Adhere to accepted standards and processes for development, including participating in peer reviews, maintaining test environments & coverage, providing feedback for product improvements as well as working to ensure consistency in quality and performance.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's (or higher) degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) major.
• Must be an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor's (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Junior year by the start of Summer 2026.
• Experience working with teams.
• Experience with the Python scripting language.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in automated statistical analysis of complex data sets
• Familiarity with version control software such as GIT
• Experience or familiarity with Agile development practices

The salary range for this role is 42,000 USD - 88,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
