Summary

A large enterprise organization in Massachusetts is looking for a DevOps Developer to support a major cloud-based application implementation. This is a contract opportunity focused on DevOps, SaaS/cloud environments, system configuration, monitoring, integrations, deployments, data refreshes, troubleshooting, and operational support across multiple development, testing, and production environments. Onsite 4 times per month.

The biggest opportunity here is the chance to work on a large-scale enterprise technology implementation where you'll have visibility across the entire environment - from configuration and integrations through testing, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing operations. They're looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on with complex environments, working through technical issues, coordinating with development and infrastructure teams, and improving how systems are deployed and supported. You'll get exposure to cloud/SaaS technologies, enterprise integrations, security, automation, and large-scale production operations.

Contract Duration: 18-24 months

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of overall IT experience
Strong experience with DevOps, system administration, and technical environment management
Experience supporting SaaS and cloud-based application environments
Experience with application configuration, deployments, integrations, and environment management
Experience with application and infrastructure monitoring
Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis experience
Experience supporting large-scale application implementations and migrations
Experience across development, integration, UAT, parallel testing, go-live, and post-production environments
Understanding of networking technologies including LAN/WAN/VPN, TCP/IP, HTTP, and FTP
Experience working with multiple technical teams, vendors, and implementation partners
Strong communication and documentation skills
Experience working in an Agile environment

Experience with Workday or another enterprise SaaS platform
Experience with cloud migrations from legacy on-premises environments
Experience with enterprise HR/Payroll applications
Experience with data integrations, data refreshes, and reporting environments
Experience with configuration management tools and processes
Experience with Microsoft security tools
Experience with Snowflake and data security
Experience with audit, compliance, or governance initiatives
Experience creating operational procedures and technical documentation
Experience supporting disaster recovery and business continuity
Experience in a large enterprise or public-sector environment

Daily Responsibilities

Manage and support multiple development, testing, and production environments
Configure and maintain application environments in coordination with technical teams and vendors
Monitor application, infrastructure, and integration performance
Support software upgrades, configuration changes, deployments, and maintenance
Manage data refreshes across different environments
Monitor integrations between cloud applications, legacy systems, and enterprise services
Troubleshoot technical issues and lead root-cause analysis through resolution
Support end-to-end, integration, UAT, parallel, and go-live testing
Develop and improve monitoring and operational processes
Support access, security, and environment configuration
Track SLA and operational performance metrics
Create technical documentation, procedures, and environment status reports
Work with development, infrastructure, security, vendors, and business teams to resolve issues and improve the environment
Help transition the solution from implementation into ongoing production operations
