Job Summary

We are seeking a Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) Functional Consultant with strong hands-on experience in finance and accounting operations. This role is focused on business-side usage of GP, supporting day-to-day financial activities across core modules and driving process efficiency.

The ideal candidate will act as a key finance user, ensuring accurate transaction processing, supporting financial close cycles, and collaborating with stakeholders to optimize accounting workflows.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day financial operations in Microsoft Dynamics GP, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL)
  • Process invoices, payments, journal entries, and account reconciliations with high accuracy
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities, including reporting and audit preparation
  • Validate financial transactions and ensure data accuracy within the system
  • Collaborate with internal finance teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and controls
  • Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience using Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) as a functional/end user
  • Solid functional expertise in AP, AR, and GL modules
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Experience managing day-to-day accounting operations in a business environment
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with GP Inventory module
  • Exposure to contract management or revenue processes
  • Experience working in mid-to-large enterprise environments
