Job Summary

We are seeking a Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) Functional Consultant with strong hands-on experience in finance and accounting operations. This role is focused on business-side usage of GP, supporting day-to-day financial activities across core modules and driving process efficiency.

The ideal candidate will act as a key finance user, ensuring accurate transaction processing, supporting financial close cycles, and collaborating with stakeholders to optimize accounting workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Perform day-to-day financial operations in Microsoft Dynamics GP, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL)
Process invoices, payments, journal entries, and account reconciliations with high accuracy
Support month-end and year-end close activities, including reporting and audit preparation
Validate financial transactions and ensure data accuracy within the system
Collaborate with internal finance teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and controls
Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience using Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) as a functional/end user
Solid functional expertise in AP, AR, and GL modules
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
Experience managing day-to-day accounting operations in a business environment
Ability to work independently with attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with GP Inventory module
Exposure to contract management or revenue processes
Experience working in mid-to-large enterprise environments
