RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking hands-on Data Center Technician to support critical data center operations. This role will be a primary resolver for hardware and infrastructure issues, playing a key role in day-to-day operations.
Duties:
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex server and hardware issues
* Support, maintain, and monitor data center infrastructure
* Work autonomously to diagnose and fix system issues while knowing when to collaborate
* Share knowledge and best practices with teammates
* Follow detailed procedures and take direction when needed
* Continuously learn the equipment and technologies you support
REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma/GED required
* CompTIA or CompTIA+ certification is a plus
* 1+ years of basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP concepts
* 1+ years of experience working with server or computer hardware components
* Strong technical foundation and willingness to learn
* Ability to perform hardware replacements and repairs (drives, memory, components, etc.)
* Basic Linux/Unix command-line experience
* Understanding of cooling systems and power distribution in technical environments
* Exposure to ticketing systems and technical documentation
* Ability to perform basic network troubleshooting
* Strong communication skills and comfort working on a team
* Ability to take feedback positively and adjust performance as needed
* Detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable following established procedures
* Willingness to pitch in, learn new systems, and support team success
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
