Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Tech Lead with strong expertise in DevOps, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS, to lead end-to-end application modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
The role focuses on migrating and modernizing complex 3-tier monolithic applications from on-premises environments to AWS EKS, and building scalable, secure, and automated cloud-native platforms.
The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in containerization, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud architecture, along with the ability to provide technical leadership and guide engineering teams in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Application Modernization & Migration
- Lead migration of complex 3-tier applications (Web App DB) from on-prem to AWS EKS
- Modernize legacy applications into containerized, cloud-native workloads
- Define migration strategies for enterprise-scale systems
Kubernetes & Container Platforms
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS EKS clusters
- Manage Kubernetes workloads, scaling, ingress, and service routing
- Implement AWS ALB, Ingress controllers, SSL/SAN certificate-based multi-app hosting
- Develop and maintain Helm charts, Kubernetes manifests, and YAML configurations
DevOps & CI/CD Automation
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelinesfor Kubernetes-based deployments
- Modify and optimize pipelines using Jenkins / GitLab CI / Azure DevOps
- Enable fully automated build, test, and deployment workflows
Infrastructure & Automation
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC)using Terraform, Helm, and Ansible
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes
- Ensure environment consistency across dev, QA, and production
Networking, Security & Performance
- Ensure secure cloud architecture using VPC, subnets, firewalls, and security groups
- Implement networking best practices for microservices and APIs
- Optimize application performance and scalability in Kubernetes environments
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance and mentoringto engineering teams
- Collaborate with architects, DevOps teams, and application teams
- Drive engineering best practices across DevOps and cloud adoption
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 14+ years of overall IT experience
- Strong focus on 3-tierApplication Migration & related Infrastructure, DevOps, and Cloud Engineering
Core Experience Requirements
- Minimum 8 10 years of experience in Application Infrastructure / DevOps / Platform Engineering
- At least 5 7 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and AWS cloud (preferably AWS EKS)
- Minimum 3+ years in a Tech Lead / Senior Technical role
Must-Have Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes & AWS EKS (Level 300)
- Hands-on experience in on-prem to AWS EKS migration projects
- Strong experience in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation
- Expertise in Docker and containerization
DevOps & Automation Tools
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins / GitLab CI / Azure DevOps
- Infrastructure automation: Terraform (preferred), Helm, Ansible
- Strong experience with Kubernetes YAML, manifests, Helm charts
Architecture & Supporting Skills
- Strong understanding of 3-tier architecture (Web App DB)
- Experience with microservices and API-based architectures (Level 300)
- Networking knowledge (Level 200): VPC, routing, ingress/egress, firewalls
- Linux fundamentals (Level 200)
- Scripting: Bash / Python / PowerShell
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in business administration or a related field.
