Our client is looking for an Sr SAP Analyst - Digital Manufacturing for their Ann Arbor, MI location. This role will sit hybrid 3 days a week.
Sr SAP Analyst - Digital Manufacturing
- The IT Senior SAP Functional Digital Manufacturing (DM) plays a key role in leading the design, configuration, and optimization of SAP solutions that support critical business processes
- The IT Senior SAP Functional Digital Manufacturing (DM) requires strong functional expertise, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective SAP system solutions.
- The IT Senior SAP Functional will play a key role in implementations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- SAP PP (Production Planning)
- Configure and support SAP PP, including:
- Master Data (Material Master, BOMs, Work Centers, Routings)
- Demand Management & MRP
- Production & Process Orders
- Capacity Planning and Long-Term Planning (LTP)
- Support production order lifecycle: creation, release, confirmation, and settlement
- Integrate SAP PP with MM, SD, QM, CO, WM/EWM
SAP Digital Manufacturing (SAP DM)
- Implement and support SAP Digital Manufacturing (DM / DMC) for shop-floor execution
- Configure Production Processes, Operations, and Resources in SAP DM
- Enable real-time data capture for:
- Production confirmations
- Quality inspections
- Scrap and rework
- Machine and operator activities
- Integrate SAP DM with SAP S/4HANA PP, EWM, and QM
- Support APIs, event-based integration, and message handling between SAP DM and S/4HANA
- Troubleshoot shop-floor execution issues and support manufacturing users
Implementation & Support
- Lead end-to-end SAP Digital Manufacturing (DM) functional activities, including requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment
- Act as a subject matter expert for SAP Digital Manufacturing (DM) modules
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze processes and recommend best-practice SAP solutions
- Configure SAP systems to meet business requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals
- Prepare and maintain functional specifications, process documentation, and configuration documents
- Support SAP S/4HANA implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and migrations
- Coordinate with SAP technical teams (ABAP, Basis, Integration) to ensure seamless solution delivery
- Lead and support testing activities (unit, integration, UAT) and resolve defects
- Provide post-go-live support, issue resolution, and continuous system improvements
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices
- Support change management, user training, and documentation efforts
- Support or participate in SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations or migrations
- Work with Universal Journal (ACDOCA) and Fiori applications
- Assist in data migration and system conversion activities
S/4HANA & Cloud (Preferred)
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing
- Understanding of BTP-based integrations for SAP DM
- Familiarity with Fiori apps for manufacturing and planning
- Basic knowledge of PP/DS or Advanced Planning is a plus
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, or IT
- 10+ years of hands-on SAP PP and DM experience
- 2+ years of hands-on SAP Digital Manufacturing experience
- Strong understanding of manufacturing execution and shop-floor processes
- Experience integrating SAP PP with SAP DM
- Knowledge of discrete or process manufacturing environments
- Understanding of SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA tables, data flows, and reporting
- Proven experience in full lifecycle SAP implementations
- Ability to lead workshops and communicate effectively with business and technical teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP PP and/or SAP Digital Manufacturing certification
- Experience with SAP ME/MII migration to SAP DM
- Exposure to SAP BTP, APIs, and event-driven architecture
- Experience with EWM DM integration
- SAP Global Implementation experience
- Experience in at least one full lifecycle SAP implementation
- Industry experience: Automotive Supplier and/or Automotive Manufacturing
- SAP Global Implementation experience

Salary/Rate: $140,000 (depends on experience level).
