Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Hyperion Testing & Validation Consultant to support the testing, validation, and optimization of Hyperion applications and the overall Development (DEV) and Quality Assurance Testing (QAT) environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle Hyperion 11.2.23 and hands-on experience validating enterprise Hyperion applications, ensuring system stability, performance, and operational readiness before production sign-off. The consultant will play a key role in validating the consolidated Hyperion environment, identifying performance bottlenecks, supporting troubleshooting efforts, and ensuring that system changes do not negatively impact business processes or end-user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases for DEV and QAT environment validation.
• Create and execute parallel, stress, load, and performance testing scripts.
• Compare execution times between the existing and consolidated Hyperion environments.
• Validate Hyperion applications, including business rules, calculations, data loads, integrations, reports, and system processes.
• Perform performance testing under normal, peak, and concurrent user workloads.
• Validate scheduled jobs, batch processes, and end-user activities across the environment.
• Identify and analyze timeout, stability, performance, scalability, and capacity-related issues.
• Troubleshoot issues and determine whether they originate from application configurations, scripts, infrastructure limitations, or environmental changes.
• Support issue resolution and perform root cause analysis throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Document testing activities, results, observations, risks, defects, and recommendations.
• Provide recommendations for CPU, memory, storage, and system configuration improvements where necessary.
• Ensure the consolidated Hyperion environment meets business, operational, and technical requirements.
• Validate overall system readiness and support final sign-off prior to production deployment.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Hyperion 11.2.23.
• Expertise in HFM, FDMEE, Essbase, and ODI.
• Experience performing functional, integration, regression, stress, load, and performance testing.
• Strong understanding of Hyperion architecture, business rules, data integrations, and financial consolidation processes.
• Experience troubleshooting performance issues and conducting root cause analysis.
• Ability to analyze system performance metrics and recommend infrastructure improvements.
• Excellent documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with Hyperion environment consolidation or migration projects.
• Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Experience working in large enterprise finance or EPM environments.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
