Pay Rate: $36.00/hour
We are seeking a
Systems Test Engineer for a temporary opportunity supporting the development and testing of innovative medical technology products. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer with hands-on laboratory experience, strong analytical skills, and a passion for product development, design verification, and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test methods, test fixtures, and laboratory experiments to evaluate product performance.
- Support design verification testing, test method validation, and product development activities.
- Analyze test data, identify trends, and communicate results through technical reports and presentations.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, including protocols, procedures, and test reports.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges using structured problem-solving techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, and Project Management.
- Support prototype and commercial product testing in a laboratory environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of engineering, laboratory, internship, co-op, research, or product development experience.
- Strong technical writing, communication, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within team environments.
- Understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical device applications is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Design verification testing and test method validation.
- Medical device or research experience.
- Knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 14971, Design Controls, and Risk Analysis.
- Experience with SolidWorks, Minitab, LabVIEW, MATLAB, or Python.
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems, laboratory equipment, and measurement system analysis.
