Job Title: Professional Services Engineer / Data Center Infrastructure Engineer

Position Summary
We are seeking experienced infrastructure resources to support a Professional Services engagement focused on repurposing inherited Dell PowerFlex R660 all-flash storage racks for Cohesity deployment.
This work requires hands-on data center execution, including node re-imaging, DRAC health validation, iDRAC IP reconfiguration, firmware updates, and coordination with data center operations teams.
The engagement spans 80 racks / 1,600 nodes across 4 data centers and will be executed in two phases.
Resources must be comfortable operating in an enterprise environment that requires strict adherence to change management, on-site access controls, and coordination with DCMS teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform Dell DRAC physical console health checks and connectivity validation
* Reconfigure DRAC IP addressing and confirm successful access
* Re-image PowerFlex nodes by uninstalling PX software and installing Cohesity
* Execute required Cohesity firmware updates
* Validate hardware readiness on Dell R660 server platforms
* Support physical rack-level execution within data center environments
* Create, submit, and coordinate Change Requests in accordance with enterprise processes
* Coordinate with DCMS teams for escort access, site scheduling, and on-site execution
* Track work across phased rollout activities spanning multiple data center locations
Scope of Work
* Total footprint: 80 racks x 20 nodes = 1,600 nodes
* Data centers: 4
* Phase 1: 20 racks / 400 nodes / 5 racks per data center
* Phase 2: 60 racks / 1,200 nodes / 15 racks per data center
* Timing: Phase 2 aligned to Q3/Q4 rollout
Required Qualifications
* Hands-on experience with Dell DRAC console administration
* Experience supporting Dell PowerEdge R660 hardware
* Strong working knowledge of PowerFlex node management, including PX uninstall and re-imaging activities
* Experience with Cohesity software installation and firmware upgrades
* Strong network/IP configuration skills, particularly for iDRAC re-IP and access validation
* Experience working in data center environments, including physical rack-level activities
* Familiarity with enterprise change management processes, including CR creation and approval workflows
* Ability to coordinate with cross-functional operational teams for on-site execution
Preferred Qualifications
* Prior experience in infrastructure repurposing or migration projects
* Experience supporting multi-site deployment programs
* Familiarity with data center escort procedures, access protocols, and DCMS coordination
* Strong troubleshooting and execution discipline in physically constrained or operationally controlled environments
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a senior-level infrastructure or field engineer with a blend of:
* server hardware expertise,
* out-of-band management experience,
* software re-imaging and firmware lifecycle skills,
* and strong operational coordination capability in enterprise data center settings.
