Job Description
We are seeking a Construction - QA/QC Program Engineer V to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data center and mission critical QA/QC, commissioning coordination, and project ownership on active construction sites and a proven ability to drive quality programs, make technical decisions, and lead cross-functional issue resolution to successful turnover.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and monitor quality program metrics to evaluate project performance and trends.
- Analyze metrics, determine root causes, and drive corrective actions with responsible parties.
- Build and mentor on-site partners' construction QA and QC teams.
- Establish QA/QC processes, standards, and cross-functional communication practices.
- Interface with design, construction, safety, facility operations, and general contractors to resolve quality issues.
- Provide training on quality awareness, procedures, and role-specific QA/QC responsibilities.
- Coordinate quality concerns among design, construction, and operations teams to closure.
- Audit staff and subcontractor QA/QC activities for conformance to procedures and standards.
- Review submittals, particularly MECP, for compliance with Meta QC standards and provide comments.
- Perform quality engineering reviews of design documents against requirements and vendor quality manuals.
- Develop, review, and approve construction quality procedures, testing matrices, checklists, and test plans.
- Recommend and verify corrective and preventive actions for non-conformances with project and quality leadership.
- Review level 4 and level 5 commissioning scripts and provide feedback.
- Support construction manager in reviewing turnover documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Support review of level 3, 4, and 5 energization, start-up, and commissioning schedules and enforce compliance.
- Drive closure of open issues in ACC and escalate overdue items.
- Attend factory witness tests for OFCI and CFCI equipment and systems as required.
- Perform onsite visual inspections for construction quality control of OFCI and CFCI installations.
- Confirm proper completion and retention of level 2 and level 3 testing documentation.
- Review installed labeling, signage, and tagging for compliance.
- Create project-specific QA/QC dashboards, equipment tracking matrices, and semi-annual deep-dive materials.
- Attend weekly project, MEP/OAC, daily start-up and commissioning, and monthly global QA/QC meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of QA/QC experience on data centers or mission critical construction projects.
- Background with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build delivery programs.
- Discipline exposure across civil/structural, building envelope, mechanical, electrical, and I&C.
- Proven leadership of QA/QC and commissioning programs, including contractor and vendor management.
- Experience with mission critical power and cooling infrastructure and application to data center challenges.
- Ability to act as on-site project owner, drive decisions, and manage schedules and quality outcomes.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with ACC or similar issue-tracking and turnover systems.
- Experience with factory witness testing and MECP submittal reviews to owner standards.
