We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join a growing heavy civil construction team. This role focuses on developing accurate, competitive project bids for roads, bridges, utilities, waterways, trails, and other public infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives under deadlines, and enjoys using numbers to solve complex challenges that impact profitability and project success. This position offers leadership growth potential into an Estimating Manager role.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Lead full project estimating and bidding process, from initial takeoff to final submission
  • Review plans, specifications, and project documents to identify key details and risks affecting pricing
  • Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for earthwork, structures, and other components
  • Refine estimating processes and contribute ideas to improve efficiency
  • Schedule and facilitate internal bid review meetings for timely decision-making
  • Mentor and collaborate with junior staff, promoting a culture of accuracy and teamwork

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • 7+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction (roads, bridges, utilities, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Proficient in reviewing plans and specifications for pricing insights
  • Experience with estimating software (e.g., InEight, Bid2Win, or similar) preferred
  • Leadership or mentoring experience strongly preferred
