Job Summary:
The Global Supply Chain Planner is responsible for managing a global supply plan for assigned products to maximize customer service levels while optimizing working capital in alignment with global business objectives. This role partners closely with regional planning teams, manufacturing plants, and global supply chain stakeholders to ensure effective supply execution, inventory management, and allocation strategies across multiple regions including the US, Canada, EMEA, LATAM, and CASAJ.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Global Supply Planning
- Manage global supply plans for assigned product portfolios to support customer service and inventory optimization goals.
- Translate business and inventory requirements into global supply plans for commercial regions.
- Partner with regional planning teams to manage long-term supply shortages and develop allocation strategies.
- Establish and manage multi-echelon inventory targets to support automated material distribution during constrained supply situations.
- Support manual allocation strategies to ensure fair-share deployment across regions.
Operational Management
- Adjust purchase orders and receipts to maintain accurate supply visibility for regional teams.
- Track shipments to regional distribution points and ensure timely execution throughout the supply chain process.
- Create allocation proposals during short supply situations and manage allocations within LOTS/SAP.
- Expedite supply orders when necessary to minimize disruptions.
- Maintain and manage planning master data to support accurate information flow between regions and manufacturing plants.
- Collaborate with manufacturing plants to understand capacity constraints, long-term planning (LTP), and product launches or changes.
IBP & S&OE Process Leadership
- Lead and facilitate monthly plant supply consensus meetings as part of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.
- Participate in Long-Term Planning (LTP) activities with manufacturing sites.
- Ensure timely collection and analysis of relevant data required for global allocation planning.
- Execute allocation plans and communicate supply responses to regional supply chain teams.
- Lead Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) meetings with manufacturing plants to validate weekly volume changes and identify major variances.
- Conduct S&OE meetings with regional and global planning teams to communicate supply updates and inventory projections based on demand and production plans.
- Business Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Drive achievement of key supply chain performance metrics including backorders, line fill rates, and inventory levels.
- Support business launch strategies from a supply chain perspective, including stock builds and shelf-life management.
- Participate in continuous improvement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Execute manual allocation of products to regional distribution hubs.
- Coordinate with regional supply chain teams, warehouse management, and transportation functions to optimize the global distribution network.
Required Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Operations, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Supply Planning.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP (APO, SCM DP/SP, or related planning tools).
- Advanced data analysis skills using Excel and Power BI.
- Proven experience in inventory management and network optimization.
- Knowledge of Lean methodologies and Six Sigma principles.
- Solid understanding of demand planning, supply planning, and transportation planning.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Kinaxis is a plus.
- APICS Certification preferred.
