Summary

We are looking for an experienced Guidewire Developer with strong expertise in Rating to support the implementation of Commercial Lines pricing solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining rating components within Guidewire, ensuring accurate and efficient premium calculations.

You will partner closely with actuarial teams to translate complex pricing models into scalable system configurations, and collaborate with business analysts and product owners to refine requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. The role also involves ensuring compliance with regulatory and state filing standards, optimizing system performance, and resolving complex rating-related issues to maintain accuracy and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and configure Guidewire rating components including rate books, rate tables, and pricing algorithms
  • Implement and maintain complex pricing logic for Commercial Lines products
  • Collaborate with actuarial, product, and business teams to deliver effective pricing solutions
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and state filings
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize rating performance and scalability

Required Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire Rating or PolicyCenter Rating
  • Deep expertise in Commercial Lines rating, including General Liability and Package policies
  • Proven experience configuring rating components and implementing complex pricing logic
  • Solid understanding of actuarial concepts and insurance pricing structures

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform
  • Exposure to integrations with external rating engines
  • Experience supporting multi-state rating in the U.S. insurance market
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on performance optimization
