Summary

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Transformation Program/Project Manager - with a Public Sector Organization located in St. Paul, MN. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. Must be local to go on site a couple of days a month

Pay range: $70-78 per hour w-2


This role is responsible for leading a complex project to ensure horizontal and systems integration between new data management capabilities and all other applications. The Senior Project Manager will manage the full project lifecycle from planning to production launch, ensuring it is delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and vendor management skills to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders within a large-scale IT transformation program.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end project management, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with vendors and stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets using tools such as MS Project and Azure DevOps
  • Identify, track, and mitigate project risks, ensuring that RAID logs are regularly updated
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT leadership, business units, and external vendors
  • Lead cross-functional teams consisting of project managers, business analysts, software developers, and business owners
  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party contracts related to project deliverables
  • Provide regular project updates and reporting to stakeholders and leadership

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in planning and managing large complex IT projects, including COTS implementations, internal software customizations, IT infrastructure changes, and cloud-based service implementations
  • Successful management of projects within a larger program or portfolio
  • Proven proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, software development life cycles (SDLC), and cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS)
  • Experience with project management tools like MS Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, and Confluence
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills
  • Strong conflict resolution and risk management skills
  • Experience in vendor management and accountability
  • Proven track record of delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget

Desired skills:
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience with managing projects in a public safety or government business organization
