Career Pathing & Skills Framework Contractor
We are seeking an experienced resource to partner with our team in designing and executing a comprehensive, scalable enterprise career pathing framework. This role will focus on creating clear, actionable career pathways, integrating skills identification and assessment strategies, and developing resources that empower leaders and associates to navigate career growth effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Career Pathing Framework
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate them into scalable career pathing solutions.
- Design frameworks for both traditional and non-traditional career paths, ensuring flexibility and inclusivity.
Skills Identification & Assessment
- Define critical skills for roles/levels and career paths across the organization.
- Build and populate initial skills library, establishing a scalable structure that can be maintained and expanded.
- Recommend and implement assessment tools to measure skill proficiency and development needs.
Playbook Development - Create a comprehensive playbook for leaders and associates that explains career pathing, how to use the framework, and how to have meaningful career conversations.
- Develop supporting materials such as guides, templates, and FAQs.
Program Execution - Partner with HR, Talent Management, and business leaders to roll out the career pathing framework.
- Ensure adoption through communication plans, training sessions, and feedback loops.
Qualifications - Proven experience in career pathing design and implementation, including both traditional and non-traditional approaches.
- Strong understanding of skills frameworks and assessment methodologies.
- Ability to create scalable solutions and resources for large organizations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in developing playbooks, toolkits, or similar enablement materials.
- Familiarity with talent development, workforce planning, and organizational design principles.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of HR technology platforms and tools for career pathing and skills management.
- Experience in change management and driving adoption of new frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills to measure program effectiveness.
