Job Title: SAP IS-U Billing & Invoicing Functional Consultant

Location: Poughkeepsie, NY (100% Onsite)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Billing & Invoicing Functional Consultant with deep expertise in the utilities meter-to-cash lifecycle, billing configuration, invoicing, and SAP IS-U solution design. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, offshore teams, and developers to deliver enterprise utility billing transformation initiatives.

Strong experience in electricity and/or gas utilities is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Consulting & Solution Delivery

• Deliver:
  • Functional Design Documents (FDD)
  • SAP configuration solutions
  • Functional Unit Testing (FUT) support
• Act as the functional lead between:
  • Business stakeholders
  • Offshore teams
  • Development teams
  • Customer leadership
• Conduct customer meetings, requirement workshops, and solution walkthroughs
• Coordinate with offshore teams and developers for timely solution delivery

SAP IS-U Billing & Invoicing

• Lead functional design and configuration for SAP IS-U Billing & Invoicing across the full meter-to-cash lifecycle
• Configure and manage:
  • Billing master data
  • Billing schemas
  • Rate modeling
  • Complex billing configurations
  • Regulated / deregulated tariff models
• Support end-to-end billing scenarios including:
  • Budget billing
  • RTP billing
  • TOU billing
  • Mass billing batch jobs
  • Exception management
  • Bill simulation
  • Unbilled revenue scenarios
  • Collective billing

Bill Print & Document Integration

• Configure and support SAP IS-U Bill Print solutions
• Work with:
  • Print Workbench
  • Smart Forms
  • Adobe Forms
• Support invoice generation and print integration workflows

Cross-Functional Integration

• Collaborate with related SAP modules and systems including:
  • SAP Device Management
  • SAP FICA
  • Integration services
• Support business process alignment and end-to-end solution integration

Modernization & Digital Transformation

• Support SAP utilities modernization initiatives involving:
  • SAP S/4HANA Utilities
  • SAP Fiori
  • OData services
  • Web services integrations
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug integration and application issues
