Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced PL/SQL Developer with 12+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle database development, PL/SQL programming, performance tuning, and enterprise application support. The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing, developing, and optimizing complex database solutions and working closely with application, data, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and views.
  • Develop and optimize complex Oracle SQL queries for high-volume transactional and reporting applications.
  • Perform SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and execution-plan analysis.
  • Develop ETL processes and support data extraction, transformation, and loading activities.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable Oracle database solutions.
  • Perform database design, data modeling, and schema development.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement permanent fixes.
  • Work with Oracle database objects, including tables, indexes, sequences, materialized views, synonyms, and database links.
  • Develop data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Participate in database migration, upgrade, and release activities.
  • Collaborate with Java/.NET developers, data engineers, QA teams, architects, and business stakeholders.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development and database standards.
  • Create technical documentation, design documents, and deployment procedures.
  • Support production releases and provide technical assistance during critical incidents.

Required Skills

  • 12+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in PL/SQL and Advanced SQL.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Database development and administration concepts.
  • Expertise in:
    • Stored Procedures
    • Functions
    • Packages
    • Triggers
    • Cursors
    • Collections
    • Dynamic SQL
    • Exception Handling
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Query Optimization and Performance Tuning.
  • Experience analyzing Explain Plans / Execution Plans.
  • Strong knowledge of database indexing and partitioning.
  • Experience with Oracle 11g/12c/19c or later.
  • Strong understanding of database design, normalization, and data modeling.
  • Experience with large-volume data processing and complex data transformation.
  • Good understanding of Unix/Linux shell scripting.
  • Experience working with Git, SVN, or other version-control tools.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and partitioning.
  • Experience with Oracle Scheduler and DBMS utilities.
  • Knowledge of AWS/Azure cloud database environments.
  • Experience with Java/J2EE or .NET application integration.
  • Experience with REST APIs and enterprise application architectures.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD processes.
  • Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Healthcare, Insurance, Telecom, or other enterprise domains.

Education

Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
