Associate Buyer

Join our Strategic Sourcing and Procurement team to play a vital role in executing day-to-day purchasing operations and supply chain workflows that keep our laboratory and production equipment sterilization processes running smoothly.

This is an operational purchasing role focused on ordering sterilization chemicals, cleaning supplies, and facility consumables directly from an established catalog of vendors to ensure seamless site operations.

What You Will Do
  • Purchase Order Management: Review purchase requisitions and create, maintain, and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in the ERP system in accordance with established buyer directions and company policies.

  • Order Expediting & Tracking: Monitor open POs, secure vendor acknowledgments, expedite critical deliveries, resolve supply delays, and maintain accurate order tracking data.

  • Discrepancy & Returns Management: Investigate 3-way match discrepancies across purchase orders, receiving reports, and vendor invoices while managing Return-to-Vendor (RTV) processes.

  • Supplier Performance & Reporting: Support supplier tracking (on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness), serve as a point of contact for routine inquiries, and generate open-order and shortage reports for senior buyers.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate directly with Planning, Warehouse, Accounts Payable, and Quality teams to maintain continuity of supply and support raw material onboarding.

  • Data Integrity: Maintain supplier master data, purchasing databases, and procurement records to ensure system compliance and accuracy.

What We Are Looking For
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor\'s or Associate\'s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred).

  • Procurement Experience: Previous experience in a purchasing assistant, procurement clerk, or buyer support role handling low-value catalog purchasing and routine transactions.

  • ERP Proficiency: Direct hands-on experience using enterprise resource planning software (SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc.) to issue POs, track inventory, and pull open order reports.

  • Problem Solving & 3-Way Match: Proven capability resolving discrepancies between POs, physical receipts, and invoices alongside Accounts Payable and Warehouse teams.

  • Communication & Detail: Strong organizational and communication skills to interface effectively with external vendors and internal cross-functional partners.
