Job Title: Senior Enterprise Security Architect
Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)
Position Overview
This role exceeds standard Enterprise Architect responsibilities, spanning statewide, multi-domain architecture across cybersecurity platforms, security telemetry, network visibility and detection, hybrid infrastructure, integration patterns, and resilience architecture. The architect makes high-consequence decisions affecting detection coverage, evidentiary integrity, operational continuity, and recovery capabilities across agencies and critical infrastructure. Responsibilities include advanced architecture governance leadership, resolving cross-organizational conflicts, deep technical validation across security pipelines/SIEM platforms/network detection/cloud platforms/automation tooling, and influencing high-value procurements/vendor evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
Statewide Multi-Domain Architecture
- Design architecture spanning cybersecurity platforms, security telemetry, network visibility/detection, hybrid infrastructure, integration patterns, and resilience across multiple entities.
- Document architecture decisions with cascading impacts across agencies, critical infrastructure, and incident response operations.
High-Consequence Decision Authority
- Make and document decisions affecting detection coverage, evidentiary integrity, operational continuity, and recovery capabilities.
- Balance speed/rigor in governance mechanisms, resolve cross-organizational conflicts, and prevent architectural debt.
Advanced Technical Leadership
- Provide expert-level guidance across security telemetry pipelines, SIEM platforms, network detection architectures, cloud/virtualization platforms, and automation/integration tooling.
- Validate designs hands-on with engineering teams and support strategic procurement/vendor evaluations.
Minimum Requirements (12-15+ Years Experience)

- 15+ years Enterprise Architecture in large, complex environments.
- 12+ years IT Infrastructure Architecture (on-prem and hybrid).
- 10+ years Cybersecurity Architecture (defensive, enterprise).
- 10+ years Technical Design Documentation and Decision Artifacts.
- 8+ years Architecture Governance / Review Boards.
Preferred Qualifications (7-10+ Years Experience)
- 10+ years Executive technical communication and briefing.
- 8+ years Security telemetry and SIEM architecture.
- 8+ years Cloud and virtualization platforms (hybrid).
- 7+ years Network visibility and detection architecture.
- 7+ years NIST-aligned risk management and security frameworks.
