Business Data Analyst IV

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking a Business Data Analyst IV to join their team in Mountain View, CA.

Summary:
The Business Data Analyst IV is expected to provide data analytics services to the client's Academy team, which focuses on expert readiness. The Analyst applies quantitative analysis, statistical methods, SQL, and business intelligence techniques to learner, assessment, marketing, and program data to evaluate training effectiveness, learner progression, and certification and readiness outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develop quantitative measures of learner progression, training effectiveness, visitor-to-badged conversion, assessment performance, and certification and readiness outcomes, using evaluation frameworks such as the Kirkpatrick model where applicable
* Write, optimize, and validate SQL queries (MySQL/PostgreSQL) in Databricks and related data platforms to join learner, assessment, certification, campaign, and program data into reliable analytical datasets
* Conduct funnel, cohort, segmentation, and trend analyses of learners participating in the client's Academy's tax and bookkeeping programs to evaluate engagement, completion, and drop-off patterns; Apply appropriate quantitative and statistical techniques to identify factors associated with learner outcomes
* Apply hypothesis testing, A/B test analysis, and regression using SQL, Python, R, or Databricks to assess the impact of content, program, and communication changes, where suitable data is available
* Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Tableau, Qlik Sense, and similar tools, with defined KPI logic, metric definitions, and validation checks
* Analyze data from Adobe Analytics, Eloqua, and Segment to evaluate acquisition, campaign engagement, and conversion, and connect these measures to enrollment, completion, and certification outcomes

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or Computer or Software Engineering (or a closely related quantitative field), and 4+ years of experience in quantitative data analysis

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with learning and development platforms and learner success data

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
