We are looking for Mainframe Developer for our client in New York City, NY

Job Title: Mainframe Developer.

Job Location: New York City, NY

Job Type: Contract.

Job Description:

Pay Range: $65hr - $70hr

Strong hands-on experience in COBOL, DB2, JCL, and CICS.
Proven expertise in end-to-end production support, complex abend analysis, and root cause resolution.
Deep understanding of system architecture, DB2 performance tuning, advanced SQL, and debugging.
Strong experience working with incident and problem management processes.
Experience working in production support environments with on-call responsibilities.
Willingness to support after-hours critical production issues.
Strong domain experience in financial services or insurance is preferred.

Requirement/Must Have:

Strong hands-on experience in COBOL, DB2, JCL, and CICS.
Expertise in production support and root cause analysis.
Experience with incident and problem management processes.
Ability to work in a 24/7 production support environment.
Strong debugging and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

Lead design, development, and support of complex mainframe applications.
Act as subject matter expert for production issues and drive root cause analysis.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
Partner with business, architecture, QA, and infrastructure teams.
Ensure adherence to security, audit, and governance policies.
Identify performance and process improvement opportunities.
Provide clear communication to stakeholders and leadership.

Qualification And Education:

Bachelor s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
