The Opportunity

StaffRight Associates is seeking a visionary Manager of Electrical Engineering to spearhead the creation of next-generation consumer electronics. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and hands-on technical execution.

You will not only mentor a talented team of engineers but also serve as a key technical contributor, ensuring that every product hitting the market sets a new standard for innovation, cost-efficiency, and performance. If you are a technical authority who thrives on driving projects from a blank canvas to a successful global launch, this is your next career milestone.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect the technical roadmap for consumer electronic product lines, ensuring all designs align with broader corporate objectives and market demands.

  • Drive the full product development lifecycle, meticulously managing milestones and resource allocation to guarantee on-time, high-quality releases.

  • Champion a culture of innovation by integrating cutting-edge technologies and modern methodologies into thermal and mechanical design workflows.

  • Synthesize cross-functional collaboration by partnering with diverse departments to streamline processes, resolve complex technical bottlenecks, and refine manufacturing strategies.

  • Execute direct electrical design tasks, maintaining a "player-coach" dynamic that keeps you at the forefront of technical development.

  • Evaluate external partnerships and vendor relationships, overseeing contracted work to ensure it meets our rigorous internal standards.

  • Engineer continuous improvement initiatives by auditing design practices and implementing equipment upgrades to maximize departmental productivity.

  • Govern departmental fiscal health by managing budgets, optimizing labor costs, and analyzing the impact of tooling and overhead on overall margins.

  • Cultivate a high-performing engineering culture through active talent development, performance mentoring, and strategic hiring practices.

What You Bring

  • Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a strictly related technical field.

  • Leadership Tenure: At least 7 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, specifically featuring a proven track record of managing teams through the delivery of complex consumer goods.

  • Technical Mastery: Advanced expertise in circuit design, component testing, and electronic evaluation, supported by a deep understanding of engineering theories and modern industry practices.

  • Production Knowledge: Familiarity with hardware manufacturing processes, including plastic injection molding, die casting, metal stamping, and pressure sealing principles.

  • Software Fluency: Expert-level command of simulation, analysis, and design tools, alongside a professional-grade proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Business Intelligence: Strong financial acumen with the ability to navigate departmental budgets and understand how design decisions influence gross margins and operating profits.

  • Communication Excellence: The ability to translate intricate technical concepts into actionable insights for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
