About the Role

We are seeking an Experienced Security Technician with a strong background in IP video, access control, and/or fire alarm systems to support both residential and commercial customers. This role is ideal for a seasoned field technician who thrives in customer-facing environments and takes pride in delivering high-quality installations and service.
The right candidate will have hands-on experience with home security installations and commercial service work, along with the ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade a wide range of security systems. This position offers autonomy, responsibility, and the opportunity to work with modern security technologies across diverse environments.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Security Technician, you will be responsible for:
  • Installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining:
    • CCTV and IP surveillance camera systems
    • Access control systems and card readers
    • Burglar alarm and fire alarm systems
    • Wireless and hardwired keypads
    • DVR/NVR systems and communicators
  • Performing alarm panel diagnostics, system programming, and physical wiring repairs
  • Providing preventative maintenance and emergency service support
  • Supporting both residential homes and enterprise / commercial client sites
  • Conducting system testing and educating customers on proper system operation
  • Accurately documenting service calls, installations, and materials used
  • Following up with coordinators or managers on open jobs, service tickets, and inspections
  • Adhering to all company policies, safety standards, and jobsite procedures
  • Staying current with emerging security technologies and best practices
  • Participating in an on-call service rotation
  • Delivering exceptional customer service in all situations

Vehicle & Inventory Responsibility

  • Company vehicle and gas card provided
  • Technicians are issued truck stock and are responsible for:
    • Tracking inventory usage
    • Properly costing parts used
    • Maintaining accurate records for assigned equipment and materials

Required Qualifications

  • Expert-level experience in security system installation and field service
  • Proven background in at least one of the following:
    • IP / CCTV camera systems
    • Access control systems
    • Fire alarm systems
  • Prior experience supporting both residential and commercial customers
  • Strong mechanical and low-voltage troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to interpret schematics and technical documentation
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to remain professional under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift equipment and work at heights (ladders, scissor lifts, etc.)

  • Battery replacement and hardware upgrades
  • Prewiring existing homes and new construction projects

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
