Sr. Informatica Developer

Title: Sr. Informatica IDMC/PowerCente.
Location:  Euless, TX.
Duration: 12+ Months Contract.

Work Schedule: 8 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday.

(Plus 8 paid holidays and 15 days PTO).

Job Description:

We are seeking a Sr. Informatica Developer to optimize Enterprise Business Intelligence to meet Client’s strategic goals. The Developer will use varied protocols and programming languages to develop and maintain the airport’s business intelligence applications and enterprise environments.

Required Experience (5+ years):

• Experience with Informatica IDMC/PowerCenter, including microservices such as Data Integration, Mass Ingestion, Monitor, and Operational Insights
• Strong expertise in Data Warehouse & BI architecture, including dimensional modeling and SCD logic
• Advanced knowledge of RDBMS platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake) with strong SQL and PL/SQL scripting and performance tuning experience
• Experience with Linux environments and Shell scripting
• Experience supporting high-volume, mission-critical application development and production environments
• Experience applying a thorough understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall
• Experience working on Jupyter Notebook, GitHub, Jenkins, Dataiku and Postman
• Experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala

Required Education:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.

Preferred Certification:

• Informatica Foundation/Professional Level Certifications

Responsibilities:

• Designs and Develops Informatica IDMC mappings and mapping tasks to migrate data from Oracle/SQL Server into a snowflake data lake and support a variety of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.
• Provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Collaborates with various stakeholders across different departments and levels within the airport and identify functional areas where organization''''s data can be optimized to develop and implement effective business solutions.
• Recognizes and improves the efficiency and effectiveness of pre-existing Informatica jobs. It involves the identification of areas where these jobs can be enhanced or optimized to achieve better performance thereby contributing to overall system efficiency and effectiveness.
• Plans deployment by collaborating with the necessary teams to schedule the deployment process, considering factors such as system requirements, data volumes, and deployment schedules.
• Automates data pipelines using latest Informatica services like Mass Ingestion and utilizing cloud technologies like Azure Blob Storage and Snowflake
• Embraces and adheres to Agile methodologies, by actively participating in meetings like sprint planning, stand-ups, grooming sessions, Kanban board updates, and retrospectives.
• Provides technical expertise and support throughout system development life cycle.
• Adheres to development standards and communicates effectively within team.
• Communicates directly with Informatica Global support and perform troubleshooting using PowerCenter or IDMC framework.
• Contributes innovative ideas and perspective to developed effective solution by understanding business processes and requirements.
• Creates and deploy a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) process for the data integration platform.
