Description: Role: Scrum Master Work Location: Lincoln, NE Onsite Pay Rates: $63 Duration: 8 months contract Job Description: Summary We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to coach, oversee, and guide Agile teams using Scrum and Kanban frameworks. This role is responsible for ensuring teams adhere to Agile values and practices, facilitating collaboration and decision-making, mentoring teams to improve processes, and removing impediments that impact delivery. The Scrum Master will foster continuous improvement, transparency, and accountability while driving predictable and high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities - Guide and support Agile teams by facilitating Scrum ceremonies and team-level PI planning activities.
- Act as a servant leader by building and cultivating high-performing teams in an environment of trust and transparency.
- Coach teams toward higher levels of maturity, predictability, and self-organization.
- Ensure healthy backlogs with clear priorities and well-understood work.
- Support and coach teams in backlog refinement, ensuring stories are ready and include clear, concise, and testable acceptance criteria.
- Ensure teams deliver work aligned with sprint goals and release timelines.
- Remove impediments and roadblocks that affect team delivery, partnering with leadership to resolve dependencies and constraints.
- Leverage data to develop, track, and report key metrics to inform decisions and drive improvements.
- Advocate for continuous improvement using metrics and data-driven insights.
- Coach team members on Agile principles, practices, and frameworks.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous learning.
- Organize and conduct training sessions to enhance team skills in Agile methodologies.
- Use Agile tools such as Jira to measure and analyze key metrics for continuous team improvement.
- Identify and implement process improvements and Agile best practices.
- Facilitate collaboration and effective communication across teams, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Scrum Master certification.
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach supporting software development teams.
- Working knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
- Experience with Agile project management tools and software development methodologies.
- Strong facilitation and leadership skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to adapt and remain flexible in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
