OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and customer-focused
Desktop Engineer/Support Technician to support the technology operations for a facility that is currently under construction in Lexington, KY. The facility is scheduled to open mid-2026.
Prior to the official opening, the selected candidate will begin employment by
splitting time shadowing existing technicians within Lexington and Harrodsburg, KY. This hands-on experience will prepare the technician to fully support staff and technology needs once the new facility becomes operational.
This role is essential to maintaining reliable IT services and will serve approximately 225 devices.
Key Responsibilities- Provide desktop support for staff, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of devices in a Windows 11-based environment.
- Deliver high-quality customer service and clear, professional communication to end users.
- Support and maintain PCs, peripherals, printers, and related hardware.
- Assist as needed with:
- Security camera systems
- Servers
- Network switches
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Work effectively as part of a team and adapt to fast-paced and high-pressure situations.
- Maintain documentation and follow all procedures and security protocols.
- Follow safety guidelines while working.
Required Qualifications- 1-2 years of experience in Desktop Support or a similar technical role.
- Experience should include device installation, troubleshooting, and repair within Windows 11 environments.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work under pressure.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Lexington, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
