Position Overview

A Desktop Support Technician is needed to provide hands-on technical support in a fast-paced environment. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, and repairing devices within a Windows-based infrastructure. In addition to standard desktop duties, the technician may assist with support for cameras, servers, and network equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide deskside support for hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot devices in a Windows environment.
  • Perform hardware repairs, upgrades, and component replacements.
  • Assist with support for cameras, servers, and network switches as needed.
  • Document all work clearly and accurately in the ticketing system.
  • Work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain professionalism when interacting with users in a secure facility.
  • Complete required training to operate effectively within the environment.
  • Support additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in desktop support or a similar technical role.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware and software.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and work in physically demanding positions.
  • Strong organization, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with account administration and user access tasks.
  • Experience with imaging, deployment, and workstation setup.
  • Exposure to ticketing systems and documentation best practices.
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Lexington, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
