Position OverviewA Desktop Support Technician is needed to provide hands-on technical support in a fast-paced environment. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, and repairing devices within a Windows-based infrastructure. In addition to standard desktop duties, the technician may assist with support for cameras, servers, and network equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide deskside support for hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot devices in a Windows environment.
- Perform hardware repairs, upgrades, and component replacements.
- Assist with support for cameras, servers, and network switches as needed.
- Document all work clearly and accurately in the ticketing system.
- Work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- Maintain professionalism when interacting with users in a secure facility.
- Complete required training to operate effectively within the environment.
- Support additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications- 1-2 years of experience in desktop support or a similar technical role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware and software.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and work in physically demanding positions.
- Strong organization, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Skills- Experience supporting Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with account administration and user access tasks.
- Experience with imaging, deployment, and workstation setup.
- Exposure to ticketing systems and documentation best practices.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Lexington, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
