Full Stack Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a Fullstack Engineer to join their team in New York. This role will support Full Stack application development within AWS to support a centralized knowledge management platform. Having strong Python engineering and deep AWS experience are crucial for the role, with AI/GenAI exposure a plus.

What Success Looks Like:
* Builds and deploys scalable Python-based applications within AWS
* Owns backend services and contributes across the full stack
* Effectively integrates systems and services across the enterprise
* Contributes to a reliable, secure, and observable cloud environment

REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven ability to design and scale cloud-native applications
* Familiarity with serverless and container-based architectures
* Understanding of DevSecOps principles and secure coding practices

Hands-on experience building and deploying applications in AWS:
* Compute: Lambda, EC2, ECS/EKS
* Storage/Data: S3, DynamoDB, RDS
* Networking & Security: VPCs, IAM, API Gateway, CloudFront
* CI/CD & IaC: CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CloudFormation and/or Terraform

Application Engineering experience:
* Backend Development (Core Strength)
* Strong Python development experience
* Building and scaling APIs and backend services using Python
* Designing RESTful APIs

Experience with microservices and distributed systems:
* Frontend Development (Supporting Skillset)
* Working experience with modern JS frameworks
* Ability to build and integrate user-facing features with backend services
* Understanding of responsive design and UI best practices

Integration Work experience:
* Connecting applications with enterprise platforms
* Building middleware and APIs to enable cross-system communication
* Handling data transformation and service orchestration

Experience with CI/CD pipelines in AWS environments:
* Containerization with Docker and orchestration via ECS or EKS
* Monitoring and logging using CloudWatch

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
