Role Overview
We are seeking a Python Engineer with a focus on data engineering. This role involves developing solutions for new use cases, including the creation of data marts and mini data warehouses. The position requires hands-on experience with Python, Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), BigQuery, and API development to handle large volumes of claims data and support a new provider portal.
Key Responsibilities
- Build data marts and mini data warehouses utilizing the Google Cloud Platform stack.
- Develop and maintain Python-based REST APIs to read from analytics databases such as BigQuery.
- Work with large volumes of transactional and claims data, performing necessary aggregations.
- Collaborate with various teams to gather and define data requirements for consolidation.
- Contribute to the development of a provider portal by supplying necessary data through APIs.
- Address challenges in defining data metrics and ensure data accuracy.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:- Hands-on proficiency in Python, particularly for API development and data engineering tasks.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and BigQuery (BQ).
- Knowledge of PySpark, specifically for use with BigQuery.
- Demonstrated experience in building Python REST APIs.
- Background in data warehousing, including building data warehouses and working with facts and aggregations.
- Experience handling transactional data.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the healthcare industry, with knowledge of provider or claim data.
- Familiarity with AWS databases.
