Summary

Job Title: Telecommunications Manager 2

Client: States of Texas

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily network operations, including incident resolution and service availability

Act as escalation point for critical network issues

Support initiatives like SD-WAN, monitoring tools (e.g., ThousandEyes, AppDynamics), and security integrations (NGFW, identity services)

Coordinate team workloads and collaborate with infrastructure, telecom, and security teams

Oversee vendors and ensure compliance with policies and regulations

Maintain documentation, support change management, and provide statrisk reporting

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Proven experience in network operations, infrastructure management, or telecommunications

Strong knowledge of WAN, LAN, wireless networks, SD-WAN, and network security technologies

Experience with network monitoring and performance tools

Demonstrated leadership and team coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with enterprise security frameworks and tools (e.g., NGFW, identity services)

Familiarity with observability platforms such as ThousandEyes or AppDynamics

Experience working in government or highly regulated environments

Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent)
