Summary

About the Role
We're seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Architect to support a New York State health agency on a long-term engagement. You'll design and deliver cloud-native and hybrid applications in AWS, build Python-based data pipelines, and develop secure REST integrations for public sector systems. This is a 30-month contract based onsite in Menands, NY from Day 1.

Responsibilities

Architect, build, and deploy cloud-native and hybrid applications on AWS
Design and implement web applications, single-page front ends, and REST backends
Develop data processing, ETL, and analysis workflows in Python using Pandas and NumPy
Build system-to-system integrations using REST APIs, REST clients, and Spring Security
Design and manage relational and NoSQL data stores (Oracle, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)
Work with agency stakeholders to meet government IT standards and requirements

Required Qualifications

7+ years designing, implementing, and deploying web applications, SPAs, and REST backends
7+ years designing and building cloud-native and hybrid applications in AWS
7+ years of Python for data processing, ETL, and analysis (Pandas, NumPy)
7+ years designing and deploying system-to-system applications with REST APIs, REST clients, and Spring Security
5+ years with relational and NoSQL databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB
5+ years on public sector or government IT projects
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited institution

Work Requirements

Onsite in Menands, NY from Day 1 (no remote option)
W-2 only; no corp-to-corp or third-party arrangements
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
